Measure the space
Every item gets a typical packed volume in cubic feet — a queen bed is about 60, a sofa about 45, a medium box about 3.
Add breathing room
Furniture never packs perfectly, so we add about 15% for gaps and awkward shapes.
Match a truck
We pick the smallest truck that would be about 95% full or less, and show how your load fits every size.

How do I know what size truck to rent?
Add up the furniture, appliances and boxes you’re moving, allow roughly 15% extra space for gaps and awkward shapes, then pick the smallest truck that would be about 95% full or less. Our calculator does exactly that from a few quick questions.
What if I’m between two sizes?
Go up a size. A truck that’s too small means a second trip, which costs time — and with labour-only moving, time is what you pay for. A little empty space is usually less costly than an extra trip.
Do you supply the truck?
No. MoovMe is labour-only: you rent the truck, trailer or container, and our movers load, unload and handle the heavy lifting.
Can I use a trailer or a container instead?
Yes. We load trailers, containers and storage units too. The estimate gives your volume in cubic feet, so you can compare it with the capacity listed for any trailer or container.
How accurate is the estimate?
It’s a planning estimate based on typical furniture sizes. Real volume depends on your belongings and how they’re packed. We’ll review your details and finalize the assessment with you before anything is booked.
How early should I book the truck?
As soon as your date is set. Rental trucks in the Waterloo Region go quickly on weekends, at the end of the month and in summer.
